It was a challenge to tell the stories of these wartime fortifications as there is little left apart from fallen walls and concrete foundations! I produced very short evocative paragraphs of text that allowed the fantastic illustrations to do most of the talking.
When people are reading your text they’ll probably be standing up, being jostled, or trying to keep an eye on children. So keep it short. (Tip 9/10)
